This 4-day stretch between Vienne and Valance passed along the Rhône River with views of the Alpine peaks in the distance (but none of the legwork involved in climbing them!) From Vienne – an old Roman capital– cycle down through traditional villages and steeply terraced vineyards to the orchards of the Rhône Valley. Most of this route follows greenways (voies vertes), making it a flat and easy ride, with you setting the pace. Maximum daily distance 38km.
