Ideal for exploring the D-Day beaches and the Airborne Museum
This welcoming hotel is an accredited accueil velo hotel within easy reach of the D-Day beaches (16km to Utah Beach, 32km to Omaha Beach and 14km to the Airborne Museum at Sainte-Mère-Église). The Battle of Carentan is one of the key World War II battles recreated for TV in Band of Brothers. The town – which is on a bike-friendly TER train link – is also just 30km from the beaches at Lessay on the western side of the Manche department of Normandy (and the EuroVelo 4 route). The hotel has just been completely refurbished, so it provides a clean and comfortable base to explore or relax – there are gardens to chill out in, plus an on-site restaurant, bar, a children's playground, plus a pool and terrace. Safe bike storage provided. Free wifi.
