The official Côtes du Rhône bike route is designed to introduce you to the highlights of the Rhone Valley, one of France's premier wine regions.

It uses parts of the ViaRhôna and the Via Venaissia veloroute on some parts. It also ventures onto quiet shared roads.

The road book was written by Elodie, the cycling officer at the Vaucluse tourist board – one of the most knowledgeable people we've met when it comes to cycling in Provence.

The route takes in authentic Provençal villages, famous wine appellations, key Roman landmarks. You can also use the road book to arrange visits to local vineyards and to meet winemakers. There are also garlic, olive, truffle, lavender, melon, and strawberry producers on the route.
