This is a locally planned and run tour from Clare and her team at Cycles Sud Ouest. It's a self-guided overnight tour is designed for people who are cycling the Canal de Garonne from Bordeaux to Toulouse, but who want to see a little more of the area rather than just pass through. It's also a perfect overnight or weekend ride out of Bordeaux or Toulouse – both are accessible by local trains to the starting points at either Buzet-sur-Baise or Agen. From there, ride to the charming town of Nérac – in the footsteps of Henri IV. En route, visit bastides and wineries and enjoy authentic south-west gastronomy, and stay overnight at a charming locally run hotel. This self-guided ride is a loop around the Albret region, passing through Vianne, Barbaste and Nérac and providing you with a real off-the-beaten itinerary not usually experienced by Bordeauix-Toulouse cyclists. The price includes overnight accommodation, bike hire (ebikes or regular bikes), route maps and notes and full local support and guidance from Clare and her team, who live locally.
