We're a bit impartial to this itinerary at FWF because we live on the route; we ride these roads a lot and know what a wonderful area it is for cycling. On this itinerary, you head out of Bordeaux on the Roger Lapebie bike route and into the vines of the Entre deux Mers, its undulating landscape providing stunning views across the valley. You'll loop back up through Rauzan (if you're lucky you'll catch its famous antiques market) before continuing on to the old UNESCO-listed town of St-Emilion for a glass of red among the vines. It's then east to Ste-Foy-la-Grande (try and time your trip to be there on a Saturday morning for the market – voted the best in France).
