Mountain Bug are based on the Tourmalet so this is a real local TDF holiday. This popular guided cycling holiday, with road support and transfers, takes in the highlights of the Tour in the Hautes Pyrenees – including seeing the tour pass over the Col de Ancizan and the finishes at Col du Tourmalet, time trails at Pau and a finish in Bagneres de Bigorre. We will ride several of the classic HC cols that have featured many times in the history of the Tour de France in the Pyrenees, including the Aspin, Peyresourde, Tourmalet, Soulor, Aubisque, Luz-Ardiden, Peyresourde and an excursion into the heart of the National park and UNESCO world heritage sites of Troumouse and Gavarnie. There is also an option for the hardy to climb the Col de Tentes 2200m – the highest paved road in the Pyrenees. The Pyrenean stages that feature in the this year's race are Stage 12: Toulouse to Bagneres de Bigorre (Peyresourde and Hourquette de Ancizan), Stage 13: Time trail at Pau; Stage 14: Finish at the Col du Tourmalet. The price of this tour is based on two people sharing an en-suite room and includes B&B accommodation, picnic lunches, afternoon tea and delicious cycling orientated evening meal5 days of guided/vehicle supported cycling, local transfers and storage for your bikes The price does not include airport transfers or cycle hire but these can be arranged for you.
