Rob, Natalie and mini-cyclist Theo at La Calade B&B are ready to welcome you on your next French cycling holiday. La Calade is located in the beautiful village of Montouliers, close to the vineyards and pine forests of the Herault/Aude border area in the south of France. It's the perfect stop on the Canal du Midi route, with the famous waterway passing through the neighbouring village of La Croisade. There are 4 en-suite bedrooms (1 double, 1 king-size and 1 twin, as well as 1 suite with king-size bed and double sofa bed in an adjoining room). In total, 10 people can enjoy the creature comforts here, making it an excellent base for solo riders, couples or groups. Rooms are offered on a B&B basis, but there is also a lounge/dining room with a fully equipped kitchen that is reserved for guest use. Have a BBQ in the garden or try one of the excellent local restaurants nearby (including some on banks of the Canal du Midi itself). Robert and Natalie have a combined 27 years' worth of experience in French hotels and ski chalets – they live on-site in separate accommodation and are on hand to help with local advice, restaurant reservations or bike hire. They can also help arrange vineyard visits. Aside from the Canal du Midi, you can also enjoy other local bike routes - both on- and off-road. There is a large and secure basement/garage with lockable bike racks, and Robert and Natalie speak English, French and Spanish.
