Ride the increasingly popular Canal de Garonne route between Bordeaux and Toulouse along the Canal des Deux Mers bike route (it eventualy links to the Mediterranean). Cross the diverse Gironde, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne and Haute-Garonne areas, exploring vineyards and tranquil landscapes on the Canal de Garonne greenway route. Discover olive groves, hillsides, orchards, villages, art, and historical monuments along the canal. Stop for a spot of canoeing, eat at a waterside restaurant or bar, or share a glass of wine with the locals. This itinerary, put together by Bordeaux-based English-speaking Evazio is a wonderful introduction to south-west France.
