Follow the pictoresque coast as it weaves around Brittany and Normandy following the path that the allies opened in 1944 after their bloody landing on the Normandy beaches. The itininerary is rich in cultural with many historical and natural sites for you to discover along the way and in fact many say that you can still feel the atmosphere of World War 2 during when visiting this region. You will also visit Mont Saint-Michel, part of UNESCO’s World Heritage, including a climb to the top (not by bike!), the abbey and the surrounding bay, an gorgeous vista which you can ride close to thanks to a small road away from traffic. And of course you will see the D-day Landing Beaches Omaha, Gold and Juno, as well as the fantasitc museums that bring the conflict to life for you.
