The 3-star Camping Altéa is perfectly located for the end (or the start!) of a Canal du Midi bike ride, being just 15km from Sete. It's also just 15km from Montpellier, making it an ideal base if you are heading that way or arriving from the train station. Tent pitches, plus self-contained fixed base bungalow tents (pictured) as well as self-catered cabins. The campsite is 5km from the beach, and has a pool, bar plus snack bar for takeaway pizzas and other food, plus a mini-supermarket. Part of a network of independently owned French campsites.
