Rouen is one of France's most famous cities, having been the place where Joan of Arc was famously burned to death in 1431 (she was tied to a pillar at the Vieux-Marché itself). The Hôtel du Vieux Marché was recently renovated and boasts all the mod-cons. It's well-located for Notre Dame Cathedral, the Musée des Beaux Arts and the Seine river banks. An underground garage is available for the storage of bikes. For leisure or day riders, the city also has an excellent bike scheme called cy’clic. Unlimited free wifi and the staff speak French and English.
All accommodation has been checked to ensure it meets our cycle-friendly criteria. We also deal with tour operators personally before adding them to the site. To recommend a great French cycling holiday or a nice bike-friendly place to stay, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
