This route starts in the 'pink city' of Toulouse, the home base for Véloccitane. They're local cycling experts who will be able to help you find local gems to eat and sights to see. You will then be fully briefed before setting off on your adventure, cycling 40-60km per day, staying in B&Bs and hotels along the way. This magical route is full of fortified hamlets, abbeys and attractive villages. Visit Castelnaudary to try the local specialty. The canal then leads you to the medieval city of Carcassonne, before crossing the pretty wine-producing villages between Minervois and Corbieres (there will be with plenty of opportunities for wine tasting!) Once past Beziers, the sea air will accompany you to the Greek city of Agde, where the Canal du Midi runs into the étang de Thau. There's also the option to continue along the seashore to Sète and Montpellier. The price includes accommodation, breakfasts, detailed maps and luggage transfers. Bike hire available for a surcharge.
