The 2027 Tour de France will start in Edinburgh in Scotland before moving down into Wales and then up to Yorkshire, the heartland of English cycling.
Here's what else we know so far about the 114th edition of the great race.
Stage 1 Grand Depart – Edinburgh
Stage 2 – England
Stage 3 – Wales
The men's race will start in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, and it is also expected to feature Glasgow. It will be the first time Scotland has hosted the race.
Stage two will start in England and could visit Manchester, the Lake District and Yorkshire. It will be the fifth time the Tour de France has visited England since 1974.
Stage 3 will be in Wales and finish in Cardiff before the race moves to France for stage 4.
The Grand Depart for the Tour de France Femmes will also take place in the UK, and possibly see stage one raced from Leeds. It will be only the second time the women's event has started outside France following a Grand Départ in the Netherlands in 2024.
We will add the full route in here once it's unveiled.
Bike hire for watching the Tour de France
A reminder that if you need bike hire during the Tour de France you should book early. It ALWAYS sells out and it can be very hard to find quality carbon road bikes closer to the time. More info here
