This self-guided cycling tour is designed for road bikers looking to get a little off the beaten track. This is a challenging 8-day itinerary with daily mileages from 75km to 136km – it's ideal for serious road riders, cycling clubs and friends looking for an adventure in France. Follow in the footsteps of one of the greatest TDF cyclists of them all – Brittany's own Bernard Hinault. From the Breton capital of Rennes, head to the sea for beautiful panoramas along this magnificent coastal route. Take in Mont-Saint-Michel, a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site; Saint-Malo, an intramural city that sometimes seems straight out of an adventure novel; Dinan, a beautifully preserved medieval city; Erquy and Paimpol, the charming little ports specialising in scallops; Perros-Guirec, a seaside resort on the famous Pink Granite Coast. Weave around small hilly roads between the land and sea of the Emerald Coast. At Cap Fréhel, where on the circuit of the cliffs in Plouha, enjoy beautiful roads 70 metres above the sea.
